Css and Html!

The Bad old days of table type HTML are gone .. and it’s the time foR CSS .for those of you who dont know what CSS is .. it is Cascading Style Sheets. CSS is pretty easy to learn if you have some prior knowledge of HTML..

But yet the learning curve for CSS is very steep as it is said .. the main idea of CSS is keeping the design away from the text .. this blog itself is a perfect example for this .. i can very well make the background black or something like that with a very simple code such as 

body {

background: black;

} 

in the CSS file of the style-sheet as it is called .. indeed earlier it used to be included in the HTML file instead. ( Although as much as i want to change this CSS file wordpress asks for 0.04$ per day price for publishing my edited CSS :’( thu WordPress!) .

CSS rocks because global definitions as well as individual styling is made possible with CSS ..

you can very well define a class of objects or just a single object ( give it an “id” ) and style for them … if you observe the source code of this page you will very well know what i mean .. it will be under the style-sheet tag or the <style> tag.

go check it out .. Thats why go CSS today it “simbly” rocks!!

Welcome to the World of CMS!

Yoyo , a regular bitsian way of opening a conversation …  Well the ps1 mania is finally over and it’s the time for evaluation ( dont very no cg’s in this evalutaion  ) .. the the award goes to CMS!! ( Content Managment Systems )

This summer i was introduced to the wonderful world on CMS … The web is going the CMS way so why not me? And before you say it isn’t well wtf are you doin rteading a blog made on a CMS then? hehe ….   CMS’s ( rhymes neatly ) are of a gazllion diff kinds be it ( the Language used )PHP , Ruby , Python , asp.NET or whatever …  but as i should say thei “simbly” rock!!

I started of with Joomla! 1.5.3 … hey i didnt put the exclamation there it was already there!!  .. ( i have no idea why they are named in african most of the times ) .. The World of Joomla is a crazy world with 3rd party extensions flying out the window at the speed of light ..As joomla is a cummunity driven “OPEN SOURCE” application you will find just what you want there .. The best part of joomla is that it’s the easiest CMS to learn …. and you find neat tricks for joomla easily too on various forums spread across the net…  you need a feature on your website and some geeky bastard must have made it already for you to use it in one click ..  ( though you have to know where to click )..hehe . Various kinds of websites can be made by a CMS. A cms can make your life easy and more dynamic than it ever was ..  you can easily make a website like Orkut or WordPress in any design you want in very few days with CMS .. if you know a weee little web designing and programming .. 

Be it Joomla Drupal or media wiki or even WordPress .. CMS is the new Web 2.0 .. and dude if you aint in CMS .. you aint in the buisness no more ..
