Okay lets start with ports , they are like open doors to you computers .. there ports ranging from 0-65535 i think so if any of them is open someone can gain acess to your computer depending on the rights of the user set to that port .. what a firewall does is close all ports unless you specify a particular port to be open!

ports are not physical so stop wondering where are the 65535 holes in your comp! no most services have default ports like

• http port:80
• ftp port:21
• telnet port:23
• ssh port:25

these are the default ports but other ports can be used to set them up .. someone can access these services from your computer using these ports and with certain access  rights like edit read write and other attributes set to the user .. to certain sections of your hard disk ..  what a hacker does is open a port on your comp ( with a trojan mostly perl scripts with cgi extensions ..google it!! ) and then set the rights to edit and del on whole of your comp and all he has to do is insert a nice little virus ( mostly a batch file {.bat if you didn’t know} if a infinite loop calling most programs and deleting a few key process like … na i aint gonna say that .. search for it.. ) ..  okay so got till this point clearly?

well now okay so how to you search for open ports .. ? well try using something called NMAP. it’s awesome for searching for open ports and once you find open ports just telnet them or ftp them depending on the protocol set to that port .. and if you are lucky it will set to a anonymous account ( that is anybody without a user and password can enter it lucky you!! ) ..

P.S : try using a ftp client like Filezilla for ftp access!!

First of all in the run command box type cmd.exe this would open the command prompt ( the rest of the article is for people who love to work in the command prompt cause it’s cool!! ) in the command prompt 

type ftp website(url) of eg ( ftp.gimp.org or ftp.skynet.be)

for user give anonymous 

in password : give a valid e-mail id .. some websites stop checking after the @ so check if this one does it! (if you have an user name and a password in your ftp site do enter that though most websites tend to take an anonymous user it’s not necessary) .

type dir to see a list of all files in the root folder that the folder that you enter first.( btw if you type that and you see a connection closed by the remote host ..like it was for me!!.. then just type user “your-username or anonymous” again)

then type cd “directory name” to enter the directory you want ..

type get “file name” to download files and 

type put “file name” if you got upload rights to the folder ..

mget or mput commands can be used to download or upload multiple files .. 

get a list of all ftp commands here FTP Commands. or just type help to get a list of all commans then do a “? command” to check what the command does ..  awesome right btw the command to exit the ftp mode is bye ..

Strategy?

Well best strategy is to take the rocket flare power and the mini-stun power first .. keep rocketing heroes ( especially agi ones they get fucked easy due to low hp ) mini-stun power helps in farming and hitting heroes .. mini stun rocks!! later game try hooking to agi heroes .. not of warning .. hook-shot is exactly like hook .. but reverse way that is goblin gets pulled towards hero .. but neither allies nor enemy creeps get stuck in hookshot only enemy heroes get stuck in the shot .. so hook carefully … mostly best way to kill is .. hook cog mini-stun then your rocket flare .. late game use rocket for seeing areas on map rather than damage ..

mini-stun is best against agi heroes .. goblin is total anti-agi heroes and can kill agi or int heroes easily ..! so goblin away today .. use wisely .. if int heroes try going hot or vanguard first .. if agi assault is the best item!

Now before i go on something related to my last post …  i just got to know another method for verification of passwords it’s the database password verification on the server side .. ( two kinds of verification client side {mostly JavaScript or other} and the other is server side {database verification} ) that’s cause if done on the client side people would be able to access the database!! lol that’s so obb … well before i lose track again .. the password you put in is md5 hashed and for all you noobs out thereit an encrytion algorithm which cannot be unhashed! ( though they can be predicted with a probablist unhashing algorith go google it) , what is then done is these md5 hashed passwords are then compared with the already hashed passwords in the table and then the cookies are sent .. nice work right .. almost full proof .. unless you can actually acess the databse .. that can be done too depending on the server’s for eg: i read somehwhere on hacking a iis windows 2000 server with a good example of a script (trogan) opening a unauthenticated port (99) with read/write attributes and acess to the whole server with the tftp command and telnet tooo!! .. awesome right?

This summer i was introduced to the wonderful world on CMS … The web is going the CMS way so why not me? And before you say it isn’t well wtf are you doin rteading a blog made on a CMS then? hehe ….   CMS’s ( rhymes neatly ) are of a gazllion diff kinds be it ( the Language used )PHP , Ruby , Python , asp.NET or whatever …  but as i should say thei “simbly” rock!!

I started of with Joomla! 1.5.3 … hey i didnt put the exclamation there it was already there!!  .. ( i have no idea why they are named in african most of the times ) .. The World of Joomla is a crazy world with 3rd party extensions flying out the window at the speed of light ..As joomla is a cummunity driven “OPEN SOURCE” application you will find just what you want there .. The best part of joomla is that it’s the easiest CMS to learn …. and you find neat tricks for joomla easily too on various forums spread across the net…  you need a feature on your website and some geeky bastard must have made it already for you to use it in one click ..  ( though you have to know where to click )..hehe . Various kinds of websites can be made by a CMS. A cms can make your life easy and more dynamic than it ever was ..  you can easily make a website like Orkut or WordPress in any design you want in very few days with CMS .. if you know a weee little web designing and programming .. 

Be it Joomla Drupal or media wiki or even WordPress .. CMS is the new Web 2.0 .. and dude if you aint in CMS .. you aint in the buisness no more ..
